ABOUT DR. JEN

Dr. Jen is a practicing chiropractor who practices with her husband in the Las Vegas Area. She has over two decades of experience treating patients who suffer from pain and inflammation. It is from this experience, and her own struggles with food allergies and sensitivities, that she pulls her inspiration to create her all-natural, gluten-free, and super delicious protein bars.

In 2005, after years of struggling with digestive issues, Dr. Jen was diagnosed with gluten sensitivity. Gluten is the protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and triticale. Millions of Americans have gluten sensitivity and the more serious condition, celiac disease. Common symptoms of gluten sensitivity include bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, headaches, fatigue, joint pain, and brain fog.

After her diagnosis, Dr. Jen spent years studying labels and searching for healthy snacks that were free of gluten and still tasted appetizing. This can be a big challenge for many people diagnosed with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity.

Determined to fill this void, Dr. Jen decided to create a nutrient-dense snack that was gluten-free, convenient, and even more important: DELICIOUS. It had to be all-natural and high in fiber and protein. She wanted to make something without nasty chemicals and preservatives, instead made with ingredients you can easily pronounce. Something low in sugar but not filled with sugar alcohols.

Being a mom and understanding it may be hard to always get your kids to eat what’s good for them, Dr. Jen decided to “sneak” in some superfoods like quinoa, spinach, and kale into her gluten-free protein bars. She made her bars in yummy flavors for the entire family to enjoy.
